Daisy

My kids got a puppy for Christmas!!! My mom brought her on Christmas Eve. And may I add, I am NOT a dog person. But as soon as I saw Daisy, I liked her much. After much debating, Abel & I decided to keep her. She seems to bring such happiness to Ally.

I never thought I'd see the day that Ally, ALLY, would like an animal. She's scared of them! Long story short, if Ally is wearing boots, she's brave. But if she is barefoot, she's on top of the sofas. Adrian is coming around. He will touch her softly for a second, and that's it!

I'm not great at doing vids yet, so bare with me :P I tried editing it, to make it shorter, but couldn't.

What's up with my LEG???

For a while now, ever so often, my leg cramps up REALLY bad. Something like a Charlie's Horse. "A charlie horse is an uncontrollable muscle contraction, or cramp, in the leg or the foot." Gosh, does it hurt!! So much that I can't walk!!

It happened today after dinner. I did a squat to tie Adrian's shoe lace and after I was done, he took off running to catch up to daddy and Skyla. Boy did my leg cramp up! It was hard for me to get up! I got up, and was hoping Abel would come back to rescue me. All I could do was stand by the table, crack up, and endure the pain. I kept picturing Abel's reaction because I would not come out of the restaurant. I stayed inside for well over 8 minutes! And my family? Waiting in the car :(

The waiter(s) were looking at me like "are you alright ma'am?" or "crazy lady!" Our waiter offered to call Abel, and I said "Nah, he'll come back" Then he started cracking up with me (I hope).

Finally….. I was able to slowly walk out side, with my pain and all. Abel real cool, sitting, waiting in the car. Then when he sees me, he's kinda getting mad at me. Telling me "Hurry up!" I start to laugh again, so he thinks I'm joking! He starts telling me "Quit acting!" "No te hagas!" I couldn't walk!!! Anyways, I got in the car and told him my story. He thought I had stayed behind talking to someone or that I had gone to the RR.

Tonight's episode has been the worst and the longest lasting. I guess I will have to get it checked by an MD. Another episode happened during lunch, Christi thought she was being punked into paying for Sal's and my lunch. She was at the register(looking around for us) and we were at the table. Sal was trying to help me. I believe I was also laughing. For some weird reason, that pain makes me laugh?

P.S. When we got home, Abel did apologize. He was more helpful :) I had to sit for a long time.

Pajama Par-tay!!!

My Skyla loves to watch Sponge Bob and Adrian is totally into the WALL-E movie.
He actually says WANN-E. When we took them to the theatre to see the movie, he sat through the whole thing!!

WALL-E, Madagascar, and SpongeBob are regulars here at our home. Those silly Madagascar penguins!! And Melman!!

The Bean Project

I can still remember doing the same project in school. Ally was so excited! She grew one at school, but the day she brought it home, it broke, so.... she grew another one at home! She would water it, and put in by the window for sunlight. And the pictures above are the end result. I hope she continues to like school as much as she does right now.

Christmas Tree, mechanic style...

We decided to put our Christmas tree this past weekend.  We let the kids put up all the ornaments. Ally of course is a pro.  Adrian on the other hand was hesitant in the beginning.  He just needed to get warmed up.

Let me explain the title of my blog.  Adrian has mechanic blood running through his veins.  My dad is an auto mechanic and Babel is a mechanic x2 (auto & marine).  So I was not surprised to see my little Adrian hanging his set of ornaments mechanic style.  I thought it was so funny!  He did that all on his own.

Thanks to my sister's idea, we buy our children a new ornament every year.  The tree looks nice with the regular ornaments but extra warm with their SPECIAL ornaments.

Thankful day!

FULL being the key word.  Why must we eat so much during the holidays?? Why? Because we are blessed to have such great cooks that prepare delicious meals.

Being that this is our 1st Thanksgiving at 1141 N. Bonham, we decided that we would all gather here.  We set enough tables so that we could all sit down to eat together.  I got up early to stuff the birdy and roast it away.  It was exciting for me!  Everyone brought what they were assigned.  So I didn't have a lot to do.  One year I would like to take care of it all!  One long year away from now :P

Ally and Hailey made cupcakes.  I even let them crack the eggs!  They had a blast!

Later in the evening most of us played "Chalupa"  I only won twice, but Abel won the very last game, which was the biggest pot :)

Hot Mamma!

My baby doll went for a hair cut about 2 weeks ago.  I know it took me a while to post it but here she is.  I could not believe my eyes after we left the hair salon!  What can I say? She's my little darling.  She looks so beautiful!  I think she kinda poses like mommy :D

Abel and I were ready to cut her hair.  I just asked the lady to cut in layers, and BAM! A hot(er) mamma appeared...

Ally Sky is happy with her new hair style and so are we!

"Leeme Estas Cartas" (Read my mail)

My grandparents never learned how to read English. There was no need because they have grandchildren that would translate. Me in particular. My grandpa was the cutest. He would call me to go over and read thier mail.

He would always greet us downstairs. He would have his mail bundled up and rubber-banded. He did not want anyone to interrupt me while I was reading it. If my mom was there with me, he would ask my mom and grandma to go the other room. Of course, they would not bother me. BUT, after a while, (just to mess with my grandpa), I would tell him that they were making too much noise for me. He would say "Ay, ya le dije a Margarita que se fuera para el otro cuarto!" He would seriously get mad, I would crack up, and then he was fine :D

Tonight I went over to my Grandma's (Margarita). She had some mail for me to read. Amongst that, there were 3 different electric companies correspondence. She didn't even know which company she is with now!! My mom and my grandma need to learn how to say "NO!!!" Some reps take advantage of their language barrier!

So being there tonight reminded me of my grandpa. But, I know he's in a happier place.

Why do I still dread the punishment?

Not that my parents can really punish me or anything, but I dread when I don't follow through on something they have asked me to do. I am a grown adult! My dad was expecting for me to visit my grandma (Panchita) in Mexico this past weekend, unfortunatley I was not able to go. I don't even want to see his name on my caller ID right now!

My mom asked me to take her curling iron to my other grandma's (Margarita) house on Saturday. Did I take it? NO! Did I want to see her at my grandma's house this morning? NO! I had no choice. I got there and I could already tell she was bothered. grrr.

Is it normal to still feel like this, even though I'm married, live on my own, and have my own children? I don't live under their roof anymore! I have at least gotten a lot better. In the beginning of our marriage, Abel would get mad because I would still listen to my dad. It took me a long time to even dare go against his wishes. One of the first ones was when I bought my 1999 Ford Mustang. This decision I made while still single, well, actually engaged. Boy, was he NOT happy. OH well!! He wanted for me to buy a used Suburban!!! Golly, I didn't even have children!!

I am not saying I disrespect them. I love and respect them.

She's got a new look...

This week I noticed I had mucho split ends.  I knew it was time for a trim.  My hair doesn't grow fast, so I'm always hesitant in even trimming it.  I was hoping I could sneak in a hair cut before Abel got back home from Georgia.  Thank goodness there was an available slot.  I ended cutting off 6 inches! Brave, Brave.....

I was going to take a serious pic for the before photo, but, as you may already know, that was hard for me to do.  That's how most before's are, all serious.  Then in the after pics, you have to look all happy!

Abel really liked my new look.  I like it to :)

Anyways, I'd like to thank my photographer, Christi.  Thank you ma'am.

Here fishy, fishy, fishy......

I love this picture!!!! My hunny went fishing early this morning. And check out what he caught!! A 23 1/2 inch "RED." Since he does't have a BLOG, I've gotta put his little adventure on me blog.

He went with his cousin Jorge. Jorge also caught a fish, I guess I'll pimp his fish aswell.......

Abel said he had fun. I'd be a little scared getting on a boat. But I guess I would try it someday. I'd wear double life jacket and the lifesaver thing :)

Treinta Y Uno

I would have liked to have a grande finale, but I don't. I thought about posting 31 pics, but I won't. I'm feeling under the weather, because of my throat.

And now, Abel turned on the AC, better grab a coat. Speaking of Abel, tomorrow he'll be getting on a boat! I would like to go, but incase the boat flips, I don't know how to float!
Ally walked out of JCP today with this Little Ducky!! Without paying for it!!! Of course, we returned it and gave her the lecture. This is the second time this happens to us at the Sunrise Mall! Next time we go, our pictures are going to be posted, banning us!

Follow your dreams, Don't Do Drugs Day

Mija always gets embarrased when I whip out my camera at school. I know she will thank me one day. I wanted to take more pictures of her little friends as well, BUT my battery died!! This week has been drug awareness week. Everyday they have had an activity of some sort. I don't remember doing anything like this in school? I'm glad they do it now though. Had I known drugs were bad, I would have never done them.. JUST KIDDING!!!! I've never done any type of illegal drugs, I promise!!! I've been told I might act like I'm on them, but NOPE, none of that JUNK in my system :)

New Costume for THE Bed

Tonight I switched out our bedding. We got this very nice gift from the DeLeon's. I didn't get a a chance to put up the curtains. It is such a nice set. With the extra little decorative pillows, curtains, and valance! So cool! Thank you!!

Brush Your Teeth!

Last week I took the children to the dentist. They both did extremely well! I was so surprised that Adrian Ethan did not cry! Gotta take care of their teeth! I hope one of them becomes a dentist. Adrian seemed intrested in the tools. Maybe he's the one?
AND yup, Ally needs further examination :(

Warm Memories

I didn't get to finish my story yesterday. It got late and I was so tired. Yesterday was my mom-in-law's birthday and today is my dad's birthday "Ramon Bustamante." My dad is this short man but he thinks he's about 6 ft tall. So funny though. We danced (pictured above) "Las Mananitas" with our parent.

I also had some friends that were still laughing at my fall today (YOU know who you are!) My poor hunny wishes I'd more careful. Every time I think about it, I say "AY!" I can picture how I went down in slow motion. It's not the first time but I sure hope it's the last :-/ Still, that deserves an LOL.
You might think I put the same picture as yesterday, BUT it's not. I had forgotten TWO gifts. Can you figure out which ones? Again, Thank You to all who were able to attend. And for those who didn't..... Sorry, you missed out on the show, hee hee

Safe landing at a Warmer Home

We've been at our new home for about 2 1/2 months. We finally did our house warming party today. We had a good turn out and had fun. The menu consisted of Nachos Deluxe. My mom made chicken salad sandwiches. My friend Cookie made the beans for me. Pat made a fruit salad. My mother-in-law made pistachio salad, Estela brought a veggie tray, and Angie brought BROWNIES. Everything tasted very good, at least to me it did.

Abel and I were surrounded by loving family and friends. I'm just about finished cleaning at this late hour.

Oh, almost forgot..... "Safe landing" means I landed safely (in front of ALL the guests) on my back yard. I was so excited because I had asked my friend Juan to say a prayer for us and our house. I was running back to be next to Abel and "Saaaaaaaafe!!" Golly, I fell on my side and then I felt everyone's eyes on me, and then I just layed flat for a few seconds. QUE AWITE!!! "Compre terreno!" Some witnessed it all! For example, friend from work,Dahlia's husband, Edward.

"Can't take me anywhere!"

THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH FOR THE SUPPORT AND GIFTS WE RECEIVED!!!

Dixie Cup Pyramids

My litte Skyla was being creative tonight. Although I have told her NOT to play with her little Dixie Cups. Poor mija, she had to start over several times because along would come Mr. Adrian and mess things up for her. He would kick the cups or throw something at them. Now I have to buy new cups!!

Twenty duex-Take un

I went into EB Games in San Benito today looking for a guitar for the Nintendo Wii. What's the first sign I see? A sign for free guitars!! I was like what do I have to do to get one??? I was thinking "Great, I don't have to buy one!" I have a tendency to speed read. I happened to skip the word "AIR."

Lost for well over 20 days!!

Above you see my poor wittle Sony Walkman. I had misplaced it for a long time! I was so lost without it for my morning exercise time. I did have a better replacement for awhile though. digiSal had lend me his ZUNE. Abel was so close to buying me one or something better than the one I have. Maybe I'll misplace it again ;)

After several weeks, over a month I shall say, I found it in my Bellydancing bag! Had the need for some shimmy tonight, and there it was! It is now being charged and waiting for some new found music I like..... Frank Sinatra. I have already put in my request. If I wouldn't have listened to the ZUNE, I would have never discovered Sinatra. He's only been dead for 10 years!! I could have heard him live!

Oh, in the pic you also see our new Linksys router. Got a great deal on it and it's been working just great!

Imagine when they are 19?

Allyson Skyla, Hailey Nicole and I played "Beauty Shop" today. We decided to curl their hair. They wanted to put my make-up on also, but I said no. I already knew I wanted to take pictures of them. They dressed up and we stepped outside to my studio (back yard). I enjoy taking pictures. Although I still have a lot to learn.

Cha Cha Slide, featuring Adrian

We went to a wedding tonight (wihout Adrian).  They played the song that you hear in the video.  I'm not very good at dancing those songs but I still went out there.  I liked it, so when I got home, I looked for it on you tube.  As soon as it started, he began to dance!! I could not believe my eyes!  Gonna ask the babysitter if they dance to it....

My niece Hailey had a good time dancing too.  I hope I don't get in trouble with her parents because I posted it.  I tried to hide her face  :-/

Fender Stradocaster

(TOP PICTURE: Gwamma, Pappa, and Adrian BOTTOM PIC: Pues el Suegro)

Something was going on at the mall that the band my father-in-law plays with was performing. He takes good care of his Fender.   He says it's a 1980's and that he paid a pretty penny for it.  I'm thinking if Adrian ends up playing an instrument, like a guitar, he will inherit the Fender?

"Mele" was happy we were there.  Adrian seemed to have enjoyed it aswell.  Allyson and Hailey colored most of the time.  Hailey even entered into a "Guess the song game."

Lil' Sis on Diez y Seiz

This picture was taken in June of this year. My sister, niece, and nephew made a special trip to the Valley from Virginia. I love and miss my sister and her family so much. I will never get tired of saying how special she is to me. And how much I love her. I just had to make her part of my photo blog this month.

Pictures are special and help capture beautiful memories. She's beautiful and special and she's my little sister. Love you sister!!!!!

Mis Quince :)

Young, young, young. I still remember practicing for the big day. Everyone would come over to my parents house. It was fun!

I was finally able to wear make-up and my dad finally gave me permission to dance!! Now a days, girls start wearing make-up really young!! We'll see how we do it with Ally.

Looking at the pictures tonight took me back. I had even forgotten who all was part of the court. I was able to blog this tonight thanks to my little brother. He looked for my album at my mom's and brought it over. I did not get to post a picture of him because he was too busy that night getting his head caught in between cabinets under the stage! I did see some pictures of my little sister, but I knew I would get in big trouble if I would post any of those :P

With a 14oz drink

Just a tad bit better than the dollar menu.  $1.99 for an entire combo?  I drove by STARS, saw the sign, and I had to go back later. This is soooo cheap!!! Not to mention, it's down the road from our house.  Gas prices going down, burger prices aswell, what's next?  I won't argue with that.
Not bad for a last minute dinner.

13 Rebel Strawberries

My strawberry lemondade.  I've heard of raspberry lemonade, but not strawberry.  Then again, here in Harlingen at Boomerang Babbas, they have authentic items on the menu.  I have tried several entrees, and I have enjoyed them all.  I get to taste some also, and then I order the full thing the next time.  Today I had "The Rebel." Mmm, so good :)

12 makes a DOZEN

It's all in the huevos.

I had gone to the store yesterday because I was supposed to cook this big, delicious, awesome breakfast at our place this morning. I bought everything we needed for Omelletes. Had to buy the JUMBO size eggs. It's just way better to cook with these! They have a fluffier outcome. :)

Turns out that my mom in law called us for breakfast. Couldn't turn that down.... So now I have lots of eggs, 2 dozens to be exact. Have Bacon, Sausage, Ham, Tomatoes, Cheese, and OJ.......Breakfast anyone?

11:11 p.m.

My sister is the one that told me that you should make a wish when the time is 11:11 Tonight I wished for ........ Can't say, because then it won't come true. This is short and sweet. I'm done :D

10 lb ball

Just imagine, a red 10 lb bowling ball.....
That is the picture that seems to be messed up above! I tried to blog from my phone but something went wrong. I will fix it and re-post. I was running out of time, and since we were at the bowling alley, my friend suggested I take a picture of the 10 lb ball, on the tenth day.

I had a fun time tonight. I had to leave early, but it seems like I am still winning!

.....Cloud 9......

I went to cloud 9 today.  I don't usually look up at the sky.  Always so busy, focused on what is going on down here.  Today I realized that taking a few moments to enjoy and appreciate the wonders around us can be pleasing.  Even though we might have to come back down from that cloud.  But for that moment, nothing can bring you down.

I could say I had several Cloud 9 moments today. I would think about my pictures and I was right back up there.  So much is going on at work, glad that I was able to focus on something else as well.  As I say focus, I am also reminded of a person we need to focus on a daily basis to continue receiving blessings.  :D

I had to grab my camera and snap these shots.  Immediately I knew these pictures would end up on my blog today.    I think the clouds looked beautiful this morning.

Eight legged

I had not taken a picture for the day and after I killed this arachnoid, I went looking for a live one. These things are all over the place!! I wanted to take a picture of a live one, but didn't find one. I felt like in the channel "Animal Planet." Outside at night....
Anyways, I don't like insects, repitles and bugga buggas! But just because it is day eight, I took a pic of this EIGHT legged creature, ewe! I especially hate it when you step them to kill'em, and ALL the babies come out!

EIGHT on the 7th

I love the fact that we got married in 2000.  This way we do not get confused as to how many years we have been married.

Today is our 8th year anniversary.  We're very happy and are expecting bigger and better things as the years pass.  Especially for our children.

We had dinner by ourselves.  For the first time I did not feel guilty leaving the children behind.  We usually feel bad when we go out by ourselves.

I love you baby, I could not imagine my life without you!

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY! Luv, luv, luv, luv........   (HeartbreakKid)

High 5 for Adrian!

Adrian was helping Norbit and Rasputia wash the cars today. I feel he deserves a High 5. When he would pull the trigger, he would get kicked back. He looked so cute! Ally began to help us but then her polish came off. By the time we knew it, she was inside re-touching her nails. Love you kiddoes!
