"Leeme Estas Cartas" (Read my mail)

My grandparents never learned how to read English. There was no need because they have grandchildren that would translate. Me in particular. My grandpa was the cutest. He would call me to go over and read thier mail.

He would always greet us downstairs. He would have his mail bundled up and rubber-banded. He did not want anyone to interrupt me while I was reading it. If my mom was there with me, he would ask my mom and grandma to go the other room. Of course, they would not bother me. BUT, after a while, (just to mess with my grandpa), I would tell him that they were making too much noise for me. He would say "Ay, ya le dije a Margarita que se fuera para el otro cuarto!" He would seriously get mad, I would crack up, and then he was fine :D

Tonight I went over to my Grandma's (Margarita). She had some mail for me to read. Amongst that, there were 3 different electric companies correspondence. She didn't even know which company she is with now!! My mom and my grandma need to learn how to say "NO!!!" Some reps take advantage of their language barrier!

So being there tonight reminded me of my grandpa. But, I know he's in a happier place.
