Walking Miss Daisy

Daisy is our little pup Ally got from my mom for Christmas. Although she is not full bred, we love her and have accepted her as part of our family :) Abel is the one who usually walks her. But today he saw me full of energy and asked me to do it. I had never walked her by myself.

First things first, I darn stepped on her little kinda injured paw :( (Ally got in my way!!!) Of course, I got in trouble with daddy. Then we are walking, and she starts eating poop!! chiwawa!! Finally got her to drop it!!! ewe!

Abel usually takes her one way, and me being the odd ball, took her the opposite way. All was fine till we came upon a house with several dogs. Daisy and Ally got scared at all the barking, I made an immediate turn.

On the way back, Daisy throws up!! Maybe it was all the pulling of her leash or maybe it was the poop she ate? She seemed fine after "tiro migas." She better not be bulimic!!!

I had to yell at Ally "Cuidado con la caca!" She almost stepped on the same poop Daisy was munching on! Hope I'm not being too gross, my apologies if I am.

Overall, it was an interesting walk. Good way to get to know the neighbors. I guess?

3 Teeth In 3 weeks

On February 3rd Ally lost her 3rd tooth in a 3 weeks span! I hope that's normal! Here's a story of how she has lost all her 5 teeth.
  1. She lost it at school, literally, LOST it. She was sad because she thought the tooth fairy was not coming. She did come though. (Kinder)

  2. Adrian knocked out her 2nd tooth. They were playing around and he accidentally did it. Was so funny! (Kinder)

  3. Her 3rd one she woke up without it. She found it by her pillow. She ran to show it to me! (1st grade)

  4. The 4th tooth she recently lost was not even loose!!! But she bit and apple and Baaaa! (1st grade)
  5. The 5th one she Lost while biting an orange. (1st grade)
I feel bad for my baby. No front teeth :( But I love to see her smile, I guess she forgets she's missing teeth and smiles like she's got ALL her teeth. Que chula :)

I'm not in control, HE is

Yesterday was a day of happiness with a mixture of sadness. I've been employed at Valley Diagnostic Clinic for the past 4 years. I guess things are getting bad there, just as the rest of the world. "The Economy" blah, blah, blah...

A fellow manger and I got the call into Human Resources yesterday. The unexpected, yet expected? We got laid off! I can not say it was a relief, a shocker, nor was I mad, sad, or happy. Just weird. On Monday we got heads up, so we were prepared.

I have no choice but to accept what is happening. The Lord decided I did not need to stick around there any longer. He is in control, and I give him all the glory. The one thing I am so happy about is that I am surrounded by caring & loving Family and Friends.

I made so many neat friends there at VDC. I've learned different things from each one. When I didn't have faith in myself, they would jump in and remind me of the things I had accomplished. I LOVE each and every one of them.

My church friends have also been a tremendous blessing! I have been blessed all this day :) Imagine how the rest of my days will be :D

Meanwhile, I will enjoy and take advantage of this time and enjoy our children. I will be working on figuring out my stay-at-home-mom routine.
