"Can You Hug Me?"

my little adrian is 4 yrs old....going on 5. sometimes, in the middle of the night, he wakes up & wants to jump into bed with abel & me. of course, we let him, and once hes on the bed with us, he will ask me.....with the sweetest sleepy & tired little voice....."will you hug me?" oh my gosh......that melts my heart everytime! and my answer is always "of course!!!" i hug him, and in no time, he is fast asleep. i treasure these moments and therefore had to jot them down immediately. he just asked me a little while ago to hug him. OF COURSE mi amorcito!

Adrian Calls It As He Sees It

Just a quick introduction of Adrian Ethan..............Adrian is our little man, he is 4 yrs old, is in Pre-K, loves all the superheroes, and Spongebob. When we pray, he always reminds me to pray for our dog Daisy & the wind.

He is doing so well is school. He is always singing his phonetic alphabet song & the color song & any other songs they sing at school (which drives BIG Sister Ally insane). You know, he cracks us up because we were used to quiet little Ally, and along comes Adrian that sees things very differently from our princess. He will speak his mind around those that he feels comfortable with. One day we all got off the car and didn't get him off right away. I thought Abel was going to take him down, and he thought I was going to take him down. So when Abel took him off the car, Abel told him "Mommy forgot to take you down baby :(" And Adrian responded by saying "SO did YOU!!" We love him!

Ok, back to my point. We could not believe our eyes when we saw his report card after the 1st six weeks!! And I don't mean the grades (which were great by the way). I mean the masterpiece he had drawn on his envelope!!! As you can see below, he drew his precious family. For one, i was amazed he could draw such cute stick cartoons. Needless to say, ALLYSON SKYLA was NOT happy with Adrian's representation of her!! She could not believe Adrian had drawn her with a sad/mad face!! She was/is so embarrassed! All she can do now is tell him his mean, lol! She can be grumpy at times, so Adrian drew her as he saw it. I will treasure that report card cover forever :)

Beat IT!!

Here is just a little clip of how he likes to dance his favorite Michael Jackson song. He was not happy i was taking a video of him.....so he stopped dancing. I love the way he taps his left foot! Our bebito :)

He made up his own moves. This clip was video taped the day of his 3rd birthday party.

Tonight I left him watching MJ videos on the computer in his room. Then he was yelling for me...LONG story short. He was hiding under the desk. He had clicked play on "Thriller." He was scared! Poor baby told me "I ton't like it mommy." And he was pointing up at the monitor, lol!

Shake it, Shake it....

I've been staying behind with blogging!!! So here's a quick one.

My little prince is now 2 years, 6 months, and 7 days. I think he was getting a little to old to wear pampers. This past Monday we began potty training him. With the help of his babysitter. He has been doing great. He only had big accidents the first day. His second day was better and by now, he's doing great!

The only little flaw is that he prefers to poop in his chonies :-/

Oh, and I'm getting ready to invent something for the little water fountain. His little thing goes up and the "chorito" goes out of the toilet!! He's being taught sitting down for right now, later he can do the shake shake thing. I welcome any potty training tips :)

My Skyla loves to watch Sponge Bob and Adrian is totally into the WALL-E movie.
He actually says WANN-E. When we took them to the theatre to see the movie, he sat through the whole thing!!

WALL-E, Madagascar, and SpongeBob are regulars here at our home. Those silly Madagascar penguins!! And Melman!!

Cha Cha Slide, featuring Adrian

We went to a wedding tonight (wihout Adrian).  They played the song that you hear in the video.  I'm not very good at dancing those songs but I still went out there.  I liked it, so when I got home, I looked for it on you tube.  As soon as it started, he began to dance!! I could not believe my eyes!  Gonna ask the babysitter if they dance to it....

My niece Hailey had a good time dancing too.  I hope I don't get in trouble with her parents because I posted it.  I tried to hide her face  :-/

I'm not cold hearted!

Abel has been telling my that I'm cold hearted. All because of Adrian. Last week and the week before, Adrian has had the strangest behavior when we drop him off at daycare in the mornings. Literally kicking, screaming, crying, and holding on to us! It first happened with daddy, and he couldn't take it, so he dropped Adrian off at his mom's instead. The second day, it happened again! We kept asking ourselves and the babysitter "What happened?" "Nothing happened" was the response all around.

We had to give Adrian the benefit of the doubt. We were not going to force him to stay somewhere he was unhappy. Needless to say, he stayed at grandma's several days. I then decided I would drop him off one day, just to test his reaction. He did the same, but I had to see how he would act the rest of the day. With a broken heart (or cold hearted, according to Abel), I left him there. I called the babysitter not even 5 minutes later, and he was over it!! He was a happy and playful little boy the rest of the day!!

Daddy attempted it again, same reaction, back to grandma's he went. When he dropped him off at his mom's..... he reacted the same!! That was proof to Abel that Adrian was just having a hard time detaching from us. No matter who he was staying with. Finally this week, I have been the one taking him. To our surprise, he is now doing a lot better. Daddy was a brave one today, and took him. Adrian is back to himself, calm, yet a little sad.

The babysitter and her family love Adrian. She tried helping us. I had to convince my mother in law that she would be telling us the truth. This is a lady that has people on a waiting list to come in to her daycare. Why would she keep a child that would give her trouble through out the day? I would tell Abel, "I bet your mom hates me!" lol

Wearing my shades.....

Adrian got his first pair of shades on Sunday. He actually likes them and leaves them on!! I guess he wants to be like daddy? He even likes to put them on top, to get them out of the way.

Pac-Man ghosts...

My babies were playing with my bellydancing veils. They were having so much fun! I had the pac-man ghosts right in my living room! Love ya kiddoes!!! MUAH!!

My PAYASITO (My little clown)

We had dinner at La Playa tonight, and Adrian was so hyper! He is such a cutie though! (What can a mommie say???) He was messing with Daddy's shades. I had to pull out my camera and shoot some pics. After a while, he started to pose.....

Adrian no likey pool...

This past Saturday my bro & sis in law set up a pool. Ally was playing in it and Adrian was just playing outside. He kept throwing toys in and we'd give'em back to him and so on. One of those times, he kinda leaned on the pool wall and down he went. And out went the water! He just froze and started to cry. It looked so funny! At the same time, I ran over there to rescue him. Well, the pool was on the drive way, it was slippery, and down I went! I ended up getting wet as well! So I just got in the pool with Adrian. He still didn't like it, so we got out. Boy was I fresh the rest of the afternoon. Mmmm, then Nacho grilled some burgers and hot dogs, that just hit the spot!

Noooooo!

"No" is Adrian's new favorite word. He uses it even if he means yes. Yesterday, while we were driving to purchase yet another Mustang coupe for Babel, Adrian made Ally mad. Allyson kept begging for Olive Garden. We kept telling her to hold on... Finally I told her that if Adrian wanted OG, we would go. I told Abel to ask Adrian, guess what he answered... Noooo! We asked him several times, NO was the answer everytime. By this time we were laughing because Ally really wanted Adrian to say "yes." After so many no's, Ally was already in tears!! What made us crack up though, was when she yelled at us "Adrian, you're not the BOSS of me!!!!" Where she heard or learned that, we don't know? But it sure was hilarious!! After all the commotion and her getting even more mad because we were laughing, we got her her favorite entree, chicken parmesan. Was she happy after all this, of course! I'm still trying to video tape Adrian say "Noooooo!" As soon as I have a good video, I'll post it.

I have to update on the new words mijo is saying....

I don't know?,it's hot, is that?, door, toy, teeth, bike, Spongebob, babe, and football!. I'm sure there's others I can't remember right now. Of course, he says them like how a one and 1/2 year old would say them. We absolutely love the way he says "toy." He puckers his lips for the "t." He looks so cute. My chiquinino!

OMG though, he has been getting into these crying spells!! Only at home! He does fine at Teacher Estela's! Nothing seems to please him! I carry him, and he wants to get down. I offer juice, milk, pan, and as last resort sometimes candy, and STILL, he'd rather be throwing his tantrum. I keep my patience for a very long time, even if it is 2 in the morning. One night Abel and poor mijita abandoned me in the room with crying screaming Adrian. Ally, half asleep told me "Adrian is too loud!" She grabbed her blanket and joined Daddy in the living room. The next night, she wanted to sleep in the "sala" again....

Adrian's Daycare Story

My chiquito has been attending Daycare for about 5 weeks now. I had been meaning to mention it on my Blog, but hadn't. We already knew that when he turned 18 months he would probably be leaving grandma's arms. Of course, no one is happy about this, but this is how life has to be right now. We were and are so blessed to have Abel's mom in our lives! She has been a tremendous amount of help, or shall I say a humongous blessing.

The day finally came and we were so lucky to find a good person to care for Adrian. She lives right across from Ally's Elementary School. Adrian has done great from day one. We took him over several times before we actually left him there all alone. He always seemed to like it, and he didn't want to leave. Then on his first day, Abel and I took him, and he acted like he knew that he would be staying that time.

He used to cry more in the beginning. Now he does his little sad face and waves "BYE." Teacher Stella says that "out of sight, out of mind." She reports that as soon as we leave, he is fine all day! She always tells us that he is a very good little boy and that he interacts well with the other little kiddos. I'm happy because I know this is still a benefit for him. Although it still breaks my heart when I leave :( We love you papito!!!

Grandma is still helping, she picks up Ally, Hailey and Adrian at 3:00...

Mr. Mine

Adrian's little vocabulary is expanding quickly!!! It's so cute! He is starting to say alot more words like "MINE." It seems to be one of his favorites. He usually says that when he wants something. If we're drinking something, he'll say...mine. So then we share.

Yesterday he had a physical done, and he received a book. As we were reading it, I said "APPLE," and he clearly repeated it! He can say words such as:

**Daddy, Momma, Bye, Pan, Ally, Hailey, Bo, Ball, Candy, Tea, Awe Man, Rumba, Kitty, Coke and several others.

I can't wait to hear more new words!!! :D

Lil' Mechanic

Adrian was practicing yesterday...He looked like he knew what he was doing! Like father, like son. Daddy's little helper.

Where's Adrian's "Willy?"

I had to jot this down because I think it is so funny! Adrian Ethan knows what & where his willy is. When I am changing his diaper, I can ask him where is it at? And he will point at it. He sometimes points too close and he touches it. It must feel weird to him because he opens his hands like he has touched something yucky!

However, when I ask Adrian in public or infront of family "Where's your willy?" He shrugs his shoulders and does his little hands like "I don't know?" He is so small! Yet he knows the difference! I believe he is a respectful 18 month-old little man! We get a kick out of it! My chiquito!

Mr. Socko

When I used to see wrestling more often, back in the day, I could not stand Mick Foley, Mankind, Mr.Socko, whatever he was called. I thought he was so messy and dirty! Well, Mr. Little Man Adrian likes to play with one of his socks. He takes it off and then he puts it on his hand. Forget toys, he likes to play with Mr. Socko!! If he goes to sleep with his sock on his hand, he will wake up in the morning, looking for his sock, to put it back on! (As per daddy) I think it's cute. Unless we are in a hurry and on the go, and when we are ready to get off the car, Adrian is missing one of his shoes and sock! He will do this everyday! So maybe I should carry around an extra sock for him?

ON another note: The NY GIANTS BEAT THE NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS!! SUPER BOWL CHAMPS!
